Benzodiazepines are a class of drugs frequently prescribed for the treatment of nervousness. Frequently prescribed benzodiazepines include Tavor, Valium, Rivotril, and Ativan. Each of these treatments functions on the central nervous system to increase the effects of a neurotransmitter called GABA.
